Grow West is hosted by Melbourne Water, the catchment management authority for the Port Philip and Western Port region.

Melbourne Water appoint committee members to the Grow West Implementation Committee. The committee’s role is to determine the strategic directions for the program and to oversee project implementation and management.

The committee meets quarterly and is made up of representatives from the community and Landcare groups, Melbourne Water, Moorabool Shire Council, Southern Rural Water and Greater Western Water.

Melbourne Water can form sub-committees and define their functions and membership under the provisions of the Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994. The Grow West Implementation Committee is established and appointed by Melbourne Water under these provisions.
